My Website is Done, Now What?

Congratulations, me. This is my first of hopefully many pats on the back throughout this blog series. I’ve made many websites over the years, but this one is the first one I’ve created with significant AI assistance. The landing page HTML and CSS were all generated by AI, with the backend using my preferred NodeJS / MySQL template setup. Wow, was it easy! It only took about two or three days to get the whole thing up and running. The question now is… what now? I’ve said this many times to my clients: “You can have the best website in the world, but if no one sees it, then it’s worthless”. So with no PPC budget my options are word of mouth, social media, and SEO.

Word of Mouth & Social Media

These days, the only difference between the two is the medium through which you’re communicating. What’s the difference between a text, a call, and an Instagram DM, right? The advantage to social media is that it serves as a way for you to reach new people, if you know how to look.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

This blog post is an example of an SEO technique that has traditionally been the go to for websites to increase their rank. However, with AI spitting out generic content now more than ever, I can only assume that content itself will become less and less of a factor in organic rankings. In fact, Google has already made moves to prioritize websites that are faster and are more user friendly in 2025. If that’s the case, then what’s the point of even writing blog posts in the first place? Well, although content may be less important, you should know that Google is a modern day encyclopedia that indexes content when all is said and done. Therefore, the more valuable content you have on your web pages, the more likely Google is to show it to its consumers.

My Next Steps

I’m going to be reaching out to like-minded individuals and businesses on Instagram. If you’re reading this because I referred you from that medium, thank you! I hope we can build a community that can work together to thrive in an online environment. As for SEO, I’ll be working on the best way to implement Google Docs (where I’m writing this) into the website itself using Google’s APIs so that the content I create can be indexed and accredited to my website. That’s all for now. See you in the next post!
